The Saint-Raphaël team (1954–1964) was a pioneer in professional cycling — the first non-bike brand to sponsor a French team, breaking the mould of traditional sponsorship. At its heart was the legendary team boss Raphaël Géminiani, whose cunning, passion and racing nous built a powerhouse squad. The team's story includes a clever ruse to bring in outside sponsorship, with Géminiani claiming the team name referred to his first name to bypass the cycling federation's rules.
This jersey celebrates the Quinquina era, named after the quinine-based aperitif that gave the team its iconic branding.
