Team History: The Backbone of Belgian Cycling
Histor–Sigma was a Belgian professional cycling team active from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. This team witnessed a pivotal period in Belgian cycling—the transition from traditional dominance to the modern professional era—and left an indelible mark on the Flemish Classics.

While the team's achievements in the Grand Tours (Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Vuelta a España) were less celebrated than those of the French and Italian powerhouses of the time, Histor–Sigma truly shone in the races that matter most to Belgians: the cobbled Classics. It was here—especially in the Tour of Flanders and Paris–Roubaix—that Histor–Sigma nurtured two future legends of the sport.
